The Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite-R Series (GOES-R) is NOAA’s next generation of geostationary weather satellites. The first satellite in the series, GOES-R, was launched on November 19, 2016. The satellite will provide continuous imagery and atmospheric measurements of Earth’s Western Hemisphere, total lightning data, and space weather monitoring to provide critical atmospheric, hydrologic, oceanic, climatic, solar and space data. The Space Environment In-Situ Suite (SEISS) operates with numerous Amptek products: A250, A275, BLR1, 9405, A121, PH300RH, HV801.
