March 13, 2015 – NASA’s four spacecraft associated with the MMS mission successfully reached orbit, and will deploy booms and antennas over the next few weeks to test instruments and prepare for their mission, expected to begin later this year. The four spacecraft will fly in a close formation, and are expected to provide us with our 3D first views of the phenomenon known as magnetic reconnection. Amptek is proud to have provided the HV801 High Voltage Optocouplers and A121 Charge Sensitive Preamplifiers for this mission.
