June 23, 2015 – NASA has begun holding weekly media briefings in preparation for the New Horizons flyby of the Pluto on July 14, 2015. This will mark the first time our planet has sent a spacecraft to Pluto and the mysterious Kuiper Belt (a relic of solar system formation), where the seven on-board instruments will study surface properties, geology, interior makeup, atmospheres, and other parameters. Amptek is pleased to have supplied our A121 Charge Sensitive Preamplifiers for use in the SWAP (Solar Wind Around Pluto) instrument.
