Depending on your company's capability in both hardware and software for XRF systems, there are several choices for detectors and electronics.
The X-123 is the best complete system for OEM applications for fast entry to the market. The X-123 is completely packaged and only requires a +5VDC power supply and a USB or RS232 connection to a computer.

X-123 represents the culmination of 14 years of X-ray detector development at Amptek. Our philosophy has always been to create small, low power, high performance instruments while keeping them simple to operate. The X-123 exemplifies this philosophy by providing in a single package the XR100CR X-Ray Detector and Charge Sensitive Preamplifier, and the DP4 Digital Pulse Processor & MCA with its PC4-3 Power Supply. All that is needed is a 5 Volts DC input and a USB or RS232 connection to your computer.
The XR-100CR paired with the PX4 is the most powerful and versatile system for high end table-top XRF analyzers. This is physically the largest configuration, but offers the best performance. Both the XR100CR and the PX4 are fully packaged with standard connectors.

The XR-100CR with the DP4 and PC4-3 is an option that requires some assembly and possibly a custom enclosure depending on the application on the part of the customer.

The AXR/PA210/DP4/PC4-3 as shown in Figures 4, 5, and 7 below is equivalent to the X-123 without any enclosures and packaging. The customer needs to assemble the system and provide custom heat-sinking for the AXR detector and custom enclosures for the AXR/PA210 and for the DP4/PC4-3 in order to avoid electronic interference.

The AXR/PA210 or AXR/PA-230 alone, is for experts in the field. The customer needs to provide custom heat-sinking for the AXR detector and a custom enclosure for the AXR/PA210 or AXR/PA210. Additionally, the customer needs to provide several external power supplies, a shaping amplifier, a digital processor or MCA, and communication with the host computer.

Choices 1) and 2) above are fairly easy to implement. Choices 3), 4), and 5) are listed in increasing difficulty to implement, and are recommended for XRF experts in the field who can provide both hardware and software engineering support.
Amptek provides several choices for detectors. See Selection Guide. The 6mm2/500um, 13mm2/500um and 25mm2/500um detectors are excellent choices for RoHS/WEEE applications.
Amptek also provides optional XRF-FP Quantitative Analysis software.
The XR-100 series of detectors (x-ray or gamma-ray) can be miniaturized for applications where the detector/preamplifier volume must be kept to a minimum. Amptek can create custom preamplifiers to meet the design requirements of the OEM.
